In the book, The (human) dolls were named Christie and Amanda.

A SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Sailor Mouth", also got backlash, but was not banned. It is possible that they used this name since it would be hard to use an actual Swear word on a children's tv show, in fact an episode of another show was banned due to censured cursing. Furball is not really a swear word, it's is just a rude name meant for name-calling, but it still offends bears just the same.That night Sister almost uses the word again but stops herself, and the next day she and Lizzie apologize to Stacey and Millie. After Sister explains where she heard the cuss word, Mama tells her how their language has thousands of words to choose from, by picking words that show she respects the feelings of others, she'll be saying a lot about herself. Mama and Papa are very shocked about Sister using such language. Later that night Sister innocently repeats at the table after Brother spills her milk. While visiting her friend Lizzy's house, Sister and Lizzie are playing with their dolls and pretending to be mothers. They soon go around repeating the word "furball", which gets them in trouble. Bruin is on the phone, Sister and Lizzy both watch a video called Trouble at Big Bear High, which Lizzy's brother Barry rented.
